The book is required for my Litigation class but so far the readings seem like common sense. However, I think it could be useful to someone who hasn’t had much exposure to court or the legal system as a whole.

I have been waiting for over a month for this book. The course is nearly 1/2 over and it still has not arrived. The seller is unresponsive to my emails. I have filed an A-Z claim with Amazon to get my money back. Do not purchase from this seller….

Classic McElhaney — wisdom and wit together. The best at giving smart, efficient and practical advise. i already had McElhany’s Litigation — which i review before every trial. i have recommended him to my best friends who do trials. This is more of the same.

This book is very helpful–especially to a new trial attorney. It is worth every penny. The author does not tell you directly what to do or how to think because you cannot tell a juror, judge, or sometimes even you own witness what to do or what to think. You have to of course persuade them and let them think it was their idea to see your case your way. His stories and advice captures you and you are on the outside looking in or like a fly on the wall. Again, he does not tell you, he shows you what to do, and why you should/should not do certain things. It is a very persuasive book. I’m sure if I was a juror in a case he was trying, I would definitely be swayed in his direction. It covers every topic from the point of view of a civil and a criminal case.

I bought this book when I first graduated law school 15+ years ago and it has been very helpful. I just bought two more copies to give away to friends preparing for there first big case. They both loved the book.
