SEO: Any Suggestions/Advice?
Today, I was fired from my recent job. During the termination meeting- I was told I am a very good at completing white hat SEO. I made some very good points last night in regards to a clients website. The website uses in proper Title Tags and has duplicate content. This morning I received an email. I was told to use a cloaking software for a client who is presented by this company I was just fired from. I refused to do so cause it against good SEO standards. I said, however, I will do it if you agree to sign paper work that says I will not be held responsible. Well that sealed the deal for me in being fired.
Honesty does not work in today’s word it seems. I cared about the company, employees and the clients in the long term of things. I am located in CA.
Any suggestions for me? I am not happy right now.

Always practice white hat SEO, learn about black hat and beware of the them.
Go your way.
You are to be commended for standing up for strict white hat SEO usage especially when your former employer believes otherwise–that taking the black hat road will eventually lead to someone reporting his client’s websites that can be banned from search engines just because of the duplicate contect, and cloaked links. Lucky for you, there are far more reputable SEO companies out there looking for ethical SEOers like yourself. You did the right thing by leaving your former employer.
Good luck!
